Dongguan Science & Technology Museum is a key project of the Dongguan Municipal Government infrastructure program. At an estimated cost of 200 million RMB by the municipal government, the 30,000 square meter building will house a 300-seat IMAX Dome theatre. The museum is scheduled to open early 2004.

Its major task is to organize popular science exhibition, a series of popular science lectures and forums, training activities for youth science and technology and the innovation of science and technology popularization and education activities, astronomy, Science Museum on the Internet and mobile technology promotion and publicity. Dongguan Science Museum has many popular science exhibition and event space, is to integrate scientific, intellectual and fun in one of important positions in the social science education. The major science facilities are: earthquake Science Hall: the rotatable globe has a diameter of 3 meters, on the globe through LED light show, allowing viewers to the national distribution of the seismic zone at a glance.

Xiaomeisha Resort is located near the thousand-mile sand beach

Xiaomeisha, shining like a bright pearl decorating the east coast of Dapeng Bay (dà péng wān 大鹏湾), about 30 kilometers from downtown Shenzhen, is a well-known seaside scenic spots and is praised as the "Oriental Hawaii".

You could go to Xiaomeisha Beach Park when you come to Guangdong for Guangzhou fair.

The resort lies to the east of Dapeng Bay, about 30 kilometers from Shenzhen city center. Xiaomeisha is embraced by green mountains and surrounded by the chariming lush tropical forest. It looks like a crescent sand beach enchased in the sky and the water. The sand beach extends thousands of miles around the sea and the bathing place is clean and wide.
These beautiful beaches are located on Dapeng Bay in Yantian district, about 30km east of the central Shenzhen area. The larger Dameisha beach is a public area, whereas there is an entrance fee for Xiaomeisha beach. Xiaomeisha also features Shenzhen Sea World, a marine life aquarium with displays and shows, and the OCT East resort is located in Xiaomeisha’s mountain hinterland.
