Causeway Bay, the world’s second highest rent district (the highest rent district of the world is Fifth Avenue of New York USA), is the result of land-reclamation projects. This heavily built-up area is nowadays the shopping and fashion centre in Hong Kong and packed with trendy shops carrying products from all around the world.

There are substantial commercial, retail and other economic activities in Causeway Bay. Insufficient road space to accommodate both vehicular traffic and pedestrians may result in traffic accidents. In order to improve the environment and safety for pedestrians, Transport Department has already implemented pedestrian schemes in the more crowded parts of Causeway Bay.
Locals can distinguish the clientele who frequent different parts of Causeway Bay. The more affluent area is Lee Gardens and Lee Gardens Two that house the ready-to-wear collections of Chanel, LV, Prada and Gucci. You will see a lot of well heeled ladies having high tea at Cova Caffe Ristorante at the Lee Gardens. The café has a long history dating back to the 1800’s, but it is quite comical the way diners then and now mirror each other, where the cafe once has been serving European royalties, it is now serving the Queens of haute couture. There is a whole floor at Lee Gardens Two that caters to designer babies, luring chic moms with their toddlers and helpers. The clothes are ridiculously expensive for the amount of fabric, but the smiles you see on the proud moms twirling their precious ones in these adorable clothing are priceless.

Wuzhen Water Town is administrated by Tongxiang City of Zhejiang Province. It locates in the center among the six ancient towns in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It borders with Huzhou city in the west and Taoyuan Town in Wujiang County of Jiangsu Province in the north. Welcome to China for Guangzhou Fair, HRC is pleased to take you to grab a genuine China Tour and Indochina Tours.

The uniqueness of the town lies in its layout, being 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) long and divided into six districts. These are: Traditional Workshops District, Traditional Local-Styled Dwelling Houses District, Traditional Culture District, Traditional Food and Beverage District, Traditional Shops and Stores District, and Water Township Customs and Life District. Wandering along the east-west-east circuit created by these six districts, you will enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional cultures and the original ancient features of the town that have been preserved intact.

A special thing about Wuzhen is that some of the houses beside the river is built on pillars to lift them above the surface of the waterway. Wooden or stone pillars are fixed into the waterway bed, crossbeams are fixed to the pillars, and wooden boards are fixed on to form floors. This architectural feature is called a “water pavilion”. This is part of the original architecture of Wuzhen. The water pavilion is really “on the waterway”. There are often windows on the three sides of this feature, facing the waterway, through which people can have a wonderful view of the watery scenery. Mao Dun described the water pavilion in his hometown in his book Da Di Shan He saying: “…outside the back door there is the river. Standing beside the back door people can get water by hanged tubs. In my dreams I can still hear the sound of the boats floating in the air…” In a sense, the water pavilion is the spirit of Wuzhen. It’s not as gorgeous as the tall buildings. However, with water pavilions, people in Wuzhen get closer with the water; with water pavilions, the scenery of Wuzhen becomes more charming; with water pavilions, the temperament of Wuzhen is more elegant; with water pavilions, the history of Wuzhen becomes more cultural. Water pavilions are only present in the water town of Wuzhen and they make this place charming.
