Jintai Temple is a Buddha temple at the south foot of the 583-meter-high Huangyang Mountain. A total area of more than 3,000 square meters, the temple has three main entrance halls leading inside. Built on the side of Huangyang, the temple is to the right of Qinglong Mountain and to the left of Baohu Mountain.

The highest peak of the Huangyang Mountain stands within the confines of the Doumen County in the Zhuhai City. It is as high as 583 meters and has been known as "the first peak along the gateway to the Pearl River". The Yexi highways along the coast pass by at the foot of the mountain. Looking northward through the bus window, you will see a striking building in the style of ancient times with the orange-colored glass roof tiles among the green mountains. This is the well-known the Jintai Temple on the Huangyang Mountain.   The Jintai Temple is located at the south foot of the Huangyang Mountain where "the general took off his armor". The sceneries are graceful here, overlooking the Yamen seaport and lying at the back of the highest peak of the Huangyang Mountain.
During the Great Leap Forward from 1958 to 1960, the temple was destroyed. Reconstruction has been ongoing from the 1990’s. Today, the temple is a popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. Many other facilities are planned for this area, financed by local government and a large amount of Buddhist donations.
